Pada tanggal 3 Juli lalu, saya berkesempatan untuk menghadiri sebuah acara spesial dari Alto Restaurant, yang terletak di lantai 20 Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. Jika Anda belum pernah tahu mengenai restoran tersebut, seperti ini kemewahan interior yang dimilikinya:

Malam itu, Alto Restaurant menghadirkan dua tamu asal Australia, yaitu Chief Winemaker Vasse Felix Wines Virginia Willcock dan Head Chef of The Vasse Felix Restaurants Brendan Pratt. Dan seperti yang telah Anda baca pada judul artikel ini, saya sungguh terpukau dengan sajian makanan yang dipersembahkan oleh Chef Pratt dan tentunya juga wine dari Vasse Felix. Semuanya berpadu harmonis, menjadi sebuah acara wine & food pairing yang memuaskan. Spontan, Chef Pratt kini masuk ke dalam daftar chef favorit saya.

Nyatanya, memang Vasse Felix Restaurant sudah banyak mendapat penobatan, seperti “Top 100 Restaurant” dari Australian Financial Review dan juga “Top 100 Restaurant” dari Australian Gourmet Traveller. Saya pun tak heran.

Sedangkan Vasse Felix sendiri merupakan label wine yang sudah berdiri sejak 1967 asal Australia, tepatnya Margaret River. Sama, Vasse Felix juga mendapat beberapa penghargaan, salah satunya “New World Winery of the Year” dari media Wine Enthusiast.

Special thanks to Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta & Vasse Felix, not only for dinner, but also giving me a chance to taste the foods by Brendan Pratt! Amazing night.
